About CLDF

CLDF (Children’s Liver Disease Foundation) is a national charity which provides support and information to children and young people affected by liver disease, and their families and friends. CLDF also funds research into liver diseases affecting young people and works to educate healthcare professionals and the general public.

CLDF works closely with the teams at the three main hospitals in the UK looking after children with liver disease (St James’s University Hospital, Leeds, King’s College Hospital, London and Birmingham Children’s Hospital) and has put together lots of information for young people including leaflets about the functions of the liver and growing up with liver disease. This information can be provided free of charge.

A list of the literature currently available from CLDF for young people can be found on our CLDF Young People's Literature page.

CLDF also has trained support officers who can provide further information and advice on living with liver disease. Whether you have a question, would like some information or simply want to talk to someone who understands, you can contact CLDF in confidence. Call 0121 212 3839 or email info@childliverdisease.org

CLDF’s main website can be found at www.childliverdisease.org. CLDF is also currently designing a website especially for children and young people which will go live in the next few months.
